Rules and Regulations
Pursuant to 11 Del. C. ยง 8605, the DELJIS Board of Managers shall have the power and authority to promulgate rules and regulations to ensure that access to Criminal Justice Information (CJI) conforms to the statutory requirements outlined in 11 Del. C. ch. 85 and 86. These regulations are applicable to all users of the Delaware Criminal Justice Information System (DELJIS) and to any agency requesting access to such from the Board of Managers.
Standards & Policies
Pursuant to the Delaware Criminal Justice Information System (DELJIS) rules and regulations (1 Del. Admin. C. § 1301) and Delaware Code (11 Del.C. ch. 86), contractors are required to maintain the security, integrity, and confidentiality of all Criminal Justice Information (CJI) contained in the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS). Contractors must ensure that any computer system, service, product, or deliverable interfacing with DELJIS or storing CJI complies with the standards and policies promulgated by DELJIS, as published on the official DELJIS website (https://deljis.delaware.gov/policies) and as amended from time to time.
DELJIS Training Center
DELJIS policy requires all CJIS system users to complete a minimum of four hours of hands-on training.
DELJIS maintains a state-of-the-art training facility designed to provide classroom-style instruction for law enforcement officers, court personnel, correctional officers, and other authorized users.
This training ensures proper access to the criminal justice system and the appropriate use of its information.
